These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern access to and use of the Unseen Church platform and services operated by Unseen Church LLC ("Unseen Church," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing the platform, deploying an assessment, or participating in any assessment delivered through the platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
Unseen Church is an activation and leadership-development organization serving churches and faith-based organizations. We help them discover, activate, and multiply the capacity already present in their people through a methodology delivered by a proprietary assessment platform.
The platform delivers a family of assessment products and tools, including The Martha Project, The Andrew Project, The Saul Project, The Solomon Project, the Unseen Church Assessment (UCA) entry experience, and, where applicable, the Activation Portal (collectively, the "Platform" and the "Products"). Each Product may include an initial assessment and an optional follow-up ("Seen") re-measure. Assessments are delivered by SMS and web on behalf of the organization that deploys them.
Productized vs. advisory services. Standard delivery of the Platform is self-serve and system-generated: the Platform algorithmically produces scorecards, reports, and snapshots from participant responses and makes them available to the Client Organization. Any human consulting, coaching, or advisory engagement is offered separately, under its own written agreement, is advisory only, and is not part of standard Platform delivery.
Participants must be at least 13 years old, unless the Client Organization deploying the assessment has obtained appropriate parental or guardian consent. The Client Organization is solely responsible for confirming the age of its audience and obtaining any required consent before deploying an assessment to minors. By participating, a Participant represents that they meet this requirement or that such consent has been obtained.
Assessments are delivered by SMS through verified, approved toll-free numbers (via Twilio and/or other carriers). By texting a join keyword, scanning a join QR code, or otherwise initiating the opt-in, a Participant expressly consents to receive SMS messages related to the assessment they joined. Participants acknowledge:
We use industry-standard practices to deliver messages but do not guarantee delivery; carrier networks are outside our control. Messages are sent on behalf of and under the direction of the Client Organization. The Client Organization is solely responsible for the audience it selects, the timing it configures, and any message wording or content it customizes, and for ensuring its use complies with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), CTIA guidelines, and all other applicable communications laws. See Section 6.
If you are a Client Organization or an administrator acting for one, you additionally agree that:
Unseen Church does not provide counseling, therapy, mental-health services, pastoral care, spiritual direction, crisis intervention, or participant triage, and does not perform volunteer management, placement, recruitment, or member follow-up on any church's behalf. The Platform provides self-serve tools that the Client Organization operates itself; Unseen Church does not move, place, contact, or care for any participant on a church's behalf.
Scorecards, reports, capacity profiles, snapshots, and other Platform outputs are generated automatically by software from participant responses. They are provided for the Client Organization's own reflection, planning, and decision-making and do not constitute professional, pastoral, psychological, medical, financial, employment, or legal advice. Any human advisory, coaching, or consulting is provided only under a separate written agreement, is advisory in nature, and the client retains sole authority and responsibility for all decisions and implementation.
The Platform currently generates results using our own deterministic methods and does not use artificial-intelligence systems to process assessment responses. If we introduce an AI-assisted feature, we will update our Privacy Policy to describe it, and any such processing would be under terms that do not permit training on your data.
You agree not to:
Participants retain ownership of the responses they submit. By submitting responses, a Participant grants Unseen Church and the Client Organization that deployed the assessment a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, and process those responses for the purposes described in our Privacy Policy. Each party represents that content it submits or uploads does not infringe the rights of any third party and is not unlawful.
The Platform and all Platform Content (including the Martha, Andrew, Saul, Solomon, and UCA assessment questions, scorecard and report templates, audio and written devotionals, software, and design) are protected by copyright and other intellectual-property laws, and all rights are reserved by Unseen Church LLC. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works without our express written permission, except for a church's internal ministry use of its own data and a participant's personal, non-commercial use of their own scorecard.
Scripture passages quoted in outputs are reproduced under fair use for religious commentary; specific translations remain the copyright of their respective publishers (e.g., the English Standard Version © Crossway; the New International Version © Biblica, Inc.).
The Platform relies on third-party providers, including SMS carriers (e.g., Twilio), AI processing (e.g., Anthropic), and hosting and database providers, that process information on our behalf to deliver the service. We are not responsible for outages, errors, or acts of these providers beyond our reasonable control.
We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure, and we are not responsible for SMS delivery failures, network outages, or third-party service issues. Outputs and reflective content are provided for planning and personal reflection only and do not constitute pastoral, psychological, medical, financial, employment, or legal counsel.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Unseen Church LLC and its owners, officers, employees, and contractors from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from or relating to your use of the Platform, your violation of these Terms or applicable law, or, in the case of a Client Organization, its communications, audience selection, consent practices, care and follow-up decisions, and use of participant data.
We may suspend or terminate access to the Platform at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including violation of these Terms or applicable law. A Participant may stop participating at any time by replying STOP. Termination does not delete information already collected, which remains subject to our Privacy Policy and applicable retention obligations.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of these Terms or use of the Platform will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Knox County, Tennessee, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Updated" date above. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
