These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of The Martha Project, a three-day devotional assessment delivered via SMS and web by Unseen Church LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). By participating in The Martha Project, you agree to these Terms.
The Martha Project is a assessment-based devotional experience deployed by partner churches to their congregations. Participants opt in via SMS, complete a 3-day, 30-question assessment, and receive a personalized Servant Leader Scorecard. Assessment responses are shared with the partner church that deployed the campaign you joined.
You must be at least 18 years old to participate, unless your partner church has obtained parental consent on your behalf. By opting in, you represent that you meet this requirement.
By texting "JOIN" (or otherwise initiating the SMS opt-in process), you expressly consent to receive SMS messages from The Martha Project related to the campaign you joined. You acknowledge:
We use industry-standard practices for delivering SMS messages, but cannot guarantee delivery, as carrier networks are outside our control.
You agree not to:
You retain ownership of the responses you submit. By submitting responses, you grant us and the partner church that deployed your campaign a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, and process your responses for the purposes described in our Privacy Policy.
You represent that your submitted responses do not infringe the rights of any third party and do not contain unlawful content.
The Martha Project, including its assessment questions, scorecard templates, audio devotionals, and supporting content, is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. All rights are reserved by Unseen Church LLC. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works without our express written permission, except for personal, non-commercial use of your own scorecard.
Scripture passages quoted in scorecards are reproduced under fair use for religious commentary; specific translations remain copyright of their respective publishers (e.g., the English Standard Version is copyright Crossway; the New International Version is copyright Biblica, Inc.).
Some content in your Servant Leader Scorecard may be generated using artificial intelligence systems based on your assessment responses. We strive for accuracy, but AI-generated reflections may occasionally produce unexpected or imperfect results. Such content is offered as a thoughtful summary, not as authoritative spiritual or pastoral counsel. You should not rely on AI-generated content as a substitute for guidance from qualified pastors, counselors, or spiritual leaders.
The Martha Project is deployed by partner churches to their congregations. Each partner church operates independently and is responsible for:
We are not responsible for the conduct of partner churches or their use of data after we have provided it to them in the ordinary course of operating the platform.
We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. We are not responsible for delivery failures, network outages, or third-party service issues.
The reflective content, scripture pairings, and AI-generated insights are provided for personal reflection only and do not constitute pastoral, psychological, medical, or legal counsel.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Unseen Church LLC, its officers, employees, contractors, and partner churches from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the platform.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the platform at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including violation of these Terms.
You may stop participating at any time by replying STOP to any SMS message. Termination of SMS does not delete information already collected, which remains subject to our Privacy Policy.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any dispute arising out of these Terms or your use of The Martha Project will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Knox County, Tennessee, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Updated" date above. Continued use of the platform after the effective date of changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
